Quad Elite QSP Stereo Power Amplifier
Despite its relatively compact size, the Elite QSP can offer great power -140W per channel to 8 ohms and 250W in a 4ohm load, which guarantees that all speakers can be operated with ease, including Quad's classic ESL electrostatic design. With the extra power design the net result is the ultimate Class A amplifier, combined with the best Class AB design grip and control. Simple, solid and elegant on the outside and devilishly smart inside - Elite QSP retains Quad's traditional place at the forefront of modern amplifier design.
A musical experience
Each Elite component has been designed to provide the best possible user experience. The design is solid, the controls are easy to use and the sound is carefully tuned to maximize musical enjoyment. The natural, effortless sonic scale, pace and dynamics that made the 99 Series so highly ranked remain intact, steeped in even greater determination to deliver the most captivating musical performance, while maintaining a very competitive price range. Quad products have always been first and foremost about the musical experience, and it has never come to a clearer expression than through the performance of the Elite series.
Precision and clarity
Using audiophile-class components, highly specified transformers, multi-layer circuits and the most advanced software available, the Elite design is based on classic Quad sound with precision and clarity.
It is encased in a modern aluminum cabinet built with high-grade alloy and with a deep gray finish with a matte black front panel, and Elite thus continues with Quad's bold but elegant signature aesthetics.
Current Dumping Topology
Quad's most valuable breakthrough is still the method that eliminates problems associated with transistor amplifiers, which provides stable performance and eliminates the need for fine tuning during production, known as Current Dumping, which occurs in Elite QSP and QMP models.
The current dumping technology has a very high quality low power amplifier and a very high power amplifier. The former sends a signal to compensate for errors between the input signal and the signal supply to the speakers, while the latter always controls the speakers and provides the power that generates the sound.
