Quad Vena II All in One

The super multi award-winning Quad Vena integrated amplifier set a new benchmark for its category when it was released three years ago, and the Vena II sees an evolution of this market leading classic from Quad.

Vena ll features improvements in both the analogue and digital domains, with the greatest improvement being an enhancement to its built-in high resolution DAC. This was achieved by replacing the Cirrus Logic 24-bit DAC chipset with what is arguably the world’s best DAC - the 32bit ESS Technology ES9018K2M for even purer reproduction from digital sources. As a direct benefit of this upgrade, the USB audio input is now upgraded from 24bit/192kHz to 384kHz PCM and can now also decode DSD files all the way up to DSD256.

Digital connectivity is further enhanced on the Vena II with two optical inputs, as well as a coaxial and Bluetooth input. All 5 inputs, including Bluetooth are processed by the exceptional ESS Reference DAC for optimum performance. Both the optical and coaxial inputs accept signals up to 24-bit/192kHz. Vena II also has both optical and coaxial digital outputs for added flexibility.

The addition of a MM phono input allows direct turntable connectivity, while Quad has upgraded the previous 6.35mm headphone output to include a dedicated headphone amplifier. The headphone amplifier is capable of effectively driving most headphones available on the market today, and gives users even more flexibility in how they use the Vena II.

Equipped with Bluetooth AptX technology, wireless streaming to the Vena II could not be easier, and the Pre-Out facility allows a user to upgrade the power output beyond the 45W built in amplification, if required.

Vena II moves every aspect of its predecessor forward, from improved sound quality, to enhanced connectivity and more flexibility than ever before, whilst retaining the unmistakable stylish looks and signature Quad sound.
