Featuring a 150 mm Klarity™ cone and 25 mm tweeter, this larger two-way bookshelf extends deeper into the bass while preserving Diamond’s hallmark neutrality. 12.2i fills medium-sized rooms with confident scale, smooth dynamics, and a relaxed musicality that encourages long, immersive sessions.

BACK IN MATTE

Three luxurious matte finishes—All-Black, Classic Walnut, and Stone Grey—give this Diamond rebirth a distinctly contemporary edge. Each surface wears a refined semi-matte sheen, an elegant, modern alternative to gloss that feels perfectly attuned to today’s interior design sensibilities.

A revised port system reshapes Diamond’s internal airflow for greater low-frequency composure and control. The result is tighter, more tuneful bass that uncovers newfound agility and texture while preserving the musical warmth and balance that define the Diamond sound. 

CROSSOVER TO THE 12i SIDE

A Linkwitz-Riley crossover with air-core inductors (rare at this price) delivers seamless driver integration. Tuned for phase accuracy and tonal coherence, it preserves image stability and harmonic balance—as well as producing fast, articulate bass. It’s high-end thinking for low-frequency brilliance.

BRACE FOR IMPACT

Computer-modelled internal bracing connects opposing cabinet walls to suppress vibration and resonance. So, Diamond 12i plays with both composure and tonal truth, allowing music to emerge in vivid detail. And with a cabinet free from colouration, every note is anchored in clarity and control.

AXIS OF DETAIL

A finely woven polyester dome with high-loss damping coating ensures treble that is extended yet never harsh. Its acoustically flat front plate maintains broad, even dispersion—filling rooms with sparkling detail and natural air without losing tonal balance off-axis.

STILL CALLED KLARITY

The same proven polypropylene–mica blend returns, refined for precision. Rigid yet lightweight, each Klarity™ cone delivers low colouration and lightning-fast response, capturing transients with natural authority so that Diamond 12i continues to play hard, handle high power, and perform flawlessly.

DIAMOND REMAINS MAGNETIC

Precision-engineered magnet systems use aluminium compensation rings and glass-fibre voice-coil bobbins to maintain stability under pressure. By curbing distortion and intermodulation, Diamond 12i keeps the rhythm tight, the tone pure, and every performance beautifully in sync.
