Goldmine Standard

Mint (M): Absolutely perfect. Usually sealed or unplayed. No flaws, scratches, or defects.

Near Mint (NM or M-): Nearly perfect. A record that has been played, but shows no signs of wear. The sleeve should have no ring wear, creases, or seam splits.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows slight signs of wear (light scuffs, very light scratches) that don't affect listening. The sleeve may have light wear, light ring wear, or minor imperfections.

Very Good (VG): Surface noise is evident, especially in soft passages, but doesn't overpower the music. More noticeable scratches and wear than VG+.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+): Significant surface noise, visible groove wear, scratches, but plays through without skipping.

Poor (P), Fair (F): Cracked, badly warped, or skipping. The sleeve is severely damaged or water-damaged

Key Grading Tips

Separate Grading: Media (record) and Sleeve (cover) separately.
Bright Light: Use of a bright, non-diffused light to inspect for scratches and surface wear where possible.
